Like so many things in life right now, the garden opening for the 2020 season has been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic.
According to RRCG President Teresa Kowalski:
"Our Spring meeting cannot be rescheduled until the COVID-19 Protocols are lifted. I spoke with the Mayor and we can have no more than 4 people at the garden and they must stay at least 6-feet from each other at all times. Until the protocols are lifted, only a few invited persons will be in the garden and we will be working specifically on tasks needed to get the garden open.
I am hopeful that the General Open Date of May 9 can be upheld, but you should consider it tentative at this point. If you have started seeds or plan to buy plants, you can repot them in larger pots as they grow, keeping them watered and fertilized.
Once the protocols are lifted we can then begin to organize some workdays for everyone."
Stay safe & healthy and we hope to see you in the garden soon.
