Fresh herbs picked from the communal herb garden make for a lovely cup of mint chamomile tea.
Headed out to the garden today to water my plants and snap a few photos. Everyone's planted their plots now and the garden is starting to really look alive.
Crazy to think a month from now the garden will be full of mature plants.

The garden is open for 2014! Ba-bye winter 2013/14. Hello spring 2014. It's been darn cold but the garden is finally open. Come on out and set-up your garden plot and start planting your seeds.
The Winter of 2014 is a doozy!
On February 2, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. Grrr.
Legend has it that means six more weeks of winter. And I'm afraid this year, he got it right.
This is what the garden looked like on February 18, 2014. Barren, frozen and blanketed in six inches of fresh snow.
The only signs of life were a few birds hovering in the bushes.
Hard to believe in just a few months this will be a beautiful blooming garden.

Opening Day 2013
Mother Nature finally cooperated and we were able to open the garden on Saturday, May 18. Thanks to everyone who helped stake, mulch and weed. Happy growing!
