Volunteers plant the herb garden in the early spring and all gardeners are welcome to take a sprig or two as needed.
Today my daughter and I grabbed a sprig of mint and a small stem of chamomile.
We brought them home and poured some boiling water over the washed leaves, flower and stem.
Immediately the house filled with the sweet smell of chamomile and mint.
It looked so beautiful in our mugs.
And tasted even more so on our lips.
Another wonderful moment brought to our family by the Rocky River Community Garden.
